For a market leader in the technology sector, the complete expansion of its office space was realized over 3 office floors on 3,800 m² and an additional 1,200 m² was prepared for further expansion. In addition to the regular workplaces, the lobby, the roof terrace, the kitchen or canteen areas and wellness and leisure rooms were also part of the expansion work. Particular focus was placed on adapting and implementing the international design requirements within budgetary constraints. Accordingly, against the background of the fixed realization time window, one of the challenges in this project was to transfer the design specifications to the local boundary conditions and legal standards. With the focus on economic efficiency and sustainability, the tasks also included value engineering and international product sourcing. Due to the modern open office environment, special attention was paid to compliance with sound insulation requirements. For this purpose, among other things, numerous acoustic wall elements were integrated into the room design. As the market leader in e-business, the very high technical requirements and the coordination of the customer’s partners for IT and security technology as well as facility management were a further focus of the project. In this context, a main server room MDF (Main Distribution Frame) and two additional server rooms IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) were also created. Finally, real General Contracting GmbH also took over the relocation management from the old location to the new building for the turnkey handover, the support of the expert inspections and the execution of the handover to the facility management team.
