On Himmelgeister Straße in Düsseldorf Bilk, real General Contracting GmbH is developing a modern residential complex with 184 micro apartments and 86 parking spaces on a 5,140 m² site. The modern residential concept reflects today’s requirements for “living in the big city” and, in addition to its immediate proximity to the university and the university clinic, offers learning and medialounges mobility concepts with sharing offers for e-cars and bikes.

Numerous samples were taken before the start of construction and during the construction phase to ensure the high quality standards of the project. For example, special attention was paid to the increased sound insulation requirements, particularly in the drywall work. Another challenge in this micro-apartment project was the coordination of the various trades due to the high density of tradesmen in a very confined space. However, this was compensated for by the almost identical residential units and the resulting almost industrial repetition factor, so that the project was also completed on schedule thanks to the excellent cooperation with the client and the project management.
