The DEZ Innsbruck is located in the Austrian city of Tyrol and, with its 146 shops on 36,000 m², represents one of the most important retail centres in the area. In the course of the “At your Service” programme, the shopping street, customer corridors and entrance areas were redesigned. The construction measures extend from the ground floor to the 1st floor of the mall. New seating and lounge areas were integrated, and the customer WC

on the ground floor was modernised and the floor in the mall was replaced. In addition, the new special lighting was installed and the colour of the bulkheads on the balcony parapets, the ceilings and supports over 2,000 m² was redesigned. The existing information desk was also re-clad and the corridor to Kinderland was given a child-friendly design. Finally, a new playground area for the smallest customers was also created as part of the Kidsplay special programme.

The construction site was characterised by the requirements of a conversion during ongoing operations, the resulting impairments due to noise protection, the safety restrictions that had to be observed, the limited logistics and, last but not least, the massive impact of the Covit19 pandemic. Despite these circumstances, acceptance took place in June 2021 to the great satisfaction of all those involved in the project.
